Originally named BETA SPRINGS when it was founded in June 1982 by Engr. Abraham N. Dizon, a licensed Mechanical Engineer, the company initially specialized in spring fabrication but was equally proficient in providing general machine shop services.
DAVAO BETA SPRING, INC. was incorporated in 1990 to succeed the single proprietorship of “BETA SPRINGS.” Since then, the Corporation has continually expanded its products and services line to achieve its mission then, which was to be a “metalworking one-stop shop,” a shop than can provide convenience to customers as it provides services from metal fabrication to metal finishing, a feature that paved the way for us to be able to produce not only parts, but equipment as a whole.
To date, DAVAO BETA SPRING, INC. is currently equipped with advanced design software and machines such as CAD-CAM/CNC equipment, automatic lathes, turret lathes, milling machine, stamping machines, shaper, bending machine, shear cutter,press brake, a thread rolling machine, TIG and MIG welding machines, a plasma cutter, among others, that can cater to general machine shop services, as well as general manufacture. The Corporation is also equipped with specialized finishing equipment for hard chrome plating, decorative chrome plating, brass plating, zinc plating, powder coating and hot dip galvanizing. Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) have been an integral part of the practice since 2011. Comprehensive training and specialization programs have enabled the Company to constantly raise its level of service to a diverse group of industries including the agricultural, mining, power, industrial and construction sectors. Our projects and product lines are overseen by our expert staff of professionals and a workforce of Filipino craftsman.

Moreover, as DBSI is committed to the continuous improvement of its products and services, we have engaged in the research and development of different equipment for the agricultural industry, from long-span foldable sprayers which we have completed in 2019 to the now on-going r and d on tractors and technology transfer from Phil rice on the combine harvester.

1982
Journey Started
Engr. Abraham N. Dizon, a licensed Mechanical Engineer, saw the potential of a machine shop business while innovating rifle mechanisms in a family-owned sporting goods business. He established “Beta Scientific Springs” which initially had a few machinery manned by less than ten employees.
1990
The firm was incorporated and known as “Davao Beta Spring, Inc.”
A corporation of the Dizon and Selga families in Davao City. It is now classified as a four-star machine shop under the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and is a member of the Metalworking Industries Association of the Philippines (MIAP) and the Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (DCCCII).
1995
The company is equipped with machines such as automatic lathes, turret lathes, a milling machine, stamping machines, a shaper, bending machine, shear cutter, press brake, a thread rolling machine, TIG and MIG welding machines, a plasma cutter, among others.
1996
The company expanded into metal finishing services such as zinc plating (electrogalvanizing), decorative chrome plating, industrial hard chrome plating.
1997
The company expanded its metal finishing services to include hot dip galvanizing. The rationale behind the company’s inclusion of hot dip galvanizing to its line of products and services is the evident demand for hot dip galvanizing brought about by the development and the expansion of infrastructure projects and the growth of towns and cities, particularly in the Visayas and Mindanao regions.
2008
The company moved its plant and office from Bajada Davao City to Malagamot Panacan, Davao City. The same is located near the seaport and airport, the ideal location for pick-up and delivery of DBSI’s products and raw material requirements.
2009
The company expanded its metal finishing services to include powder coating.
2011
CADD (Computer Aided Design and Drafting) became an integral part of production
